Who is Mike Creighton?

I’m an artist and programmer living and working in Portland, Oregon. I dabble in both traditional and digital media. You can see a more formal collection of some of my work at http://mikecreighton.com.

Graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2001, I walked away with a BFA in Computer Art with a concentration in Interactive Design. I’ve been a game developer, a designer, a creative director, a lead developer (numerous times), and now technical director at a small digital design studio called HEGA. I can’t seem to satiate my curiosity to know.

After coming to San Francisco during the summer of 2006, my creative juices started boiling once again. I found myself interested in many disciplines and many times didn’t know where to begin creating. On September 23, 2006, I decided to make it my goal to simply create an artifact — every day — in hopes of finding a specific interest that I can really devour and explore.

Since then, this blog has turned into my playground where I toil with the analogue and the digital — really, anything that interests me. It doesn’t happen every day, but it does happen.

I’m a contributor to the ActionScript 2 & 3 library CASA Lib. You should check it out if you’re a Flash developer.
